With Valentine’s Day around the corner, you’ll want to make sure that your deck weather-proofing is up to date so you can use it for a romantic opportunity. To get your deck ready for Valentine’s Day, consider these cute deck ideas that will make sure your you’ll have the perfectly decorated outdoor space for this special day.

  1. Consider a romantic sunrise or sunset meal on your deck. There’s nothing quite as romantic as watching the sunrise or a beautiful sunset with your significant other. Go one step farther by preparing a beautiful meal such as breakfast for a sunrise or maybe dessert or dinner to watch the sunset. Go all out on the table decorations including flowers for the centerpiece, tablecloth, cloth napkins as well as stringed lights along the deck.
  2. Add some valentine style decorations to your deck. For Valentine’s Day decorations, go with the ‘less is more’ approach. You don’t need to go overboard and buy all the red hearts and balloons from the market. Instead, consider adding adding white or red furniture cushions for an added pop. If you have a table, adding a red tablecloth is another example of keeping decorations simple.
  3. Create the perfect romantic mood with ambient lighting. The lighting can often make a break a romantic setting. Outdoor string lights are always going to be a good idea. You can use string lights that offer a softer light or can even get string lights that are pink for an added Valentine's Day bonus. Candles are another great option. Just be sure you put them in a safe space and there are no fire hazards.
